Monique Calderon is a founding and managing partner at The Xela Group. Monique has spent more than 25 years in the Staffing and Consulting industry. She has held a number of senior leadership roles within other large staffing organizations. Most recently, Monique served as the Vice President of Strategic Accounts for a national staffing and resource solutions company, where she led the development of a dedicated process to service the largest and most strategic customers with a team of Strategic Directors and dedicated Delivery Specialists. Monique also held the role of Client Services Executive for one of the global leaders in professional resourcing and project-based solutions in IT, Finance and Engineering. Under Monique's leadership, she oversaw the strategic direction and growth of eight enterprise global accounts, as well as, other large enterprise accounts, crossing multiple industries. Over the course of Monique's 25-year career, she has successfully built key clients and managed business portfolios of $200M. With deep expertise in all facets of staffing, Monique has served as a trusted advisor and partner for various Fortune 500 executives.
Monique graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in political science and sociology. She and her family reside in Potomac, Maryland.
Mae Earman is a founding and managing partner at The Xela Group. Mae has over 24 years in the IT staffing and consulting industry. Mae has held a number of senior leadership roles within other large staffing organizations. Most recently, Mae served as the Director of Strategic Accounts at a national staffing and resource solutions company, where she held responsibility for growth and development of national accounts.
After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1992, Mae began her staffing career as a Recruiter and was quickly promoted to Recruiting Management. In 1997, Mae joined a US based IT consulting firm in a Business Development role and spent 9 years as a top performer. Mae later accepted a role with a global leader delivering human capital solutions. With this firm, Mae served as a Business Development Manager and was instrumental in growing her client's business and solving their workforce shortage issues. Mae was promoted to Client Services Director where she led a North America client team of Sales and Recruiting, responsible for over $53M in revenue.
Mae and her family reside in Northern Virginia.
EVP of Services
Neil Shaw serves as EVP of Services for The Xela Group. Neil has over 20 years of experience in the staffing and solutions industry. Neil began his career in 1998 as a technical recruiter and has consistently progressed into roles with increasing responsibility and scope within client delivery and sales leadership. He has managed enterprise and strategic accounts nationally and globally for the past 14 years.
Neil has extensive experience in financial services, integrator/technology and communications verticals. Neil has regularly been recognized as a top producer leading delivery and business development efforts resulting in sustained growth of strategic account portfolios up to $100M+ in annual revenue.
Neil graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Neil and his family currently reside in Charlotte, NC.
Director of Recruiting
Anna Kessler serves as Director of Recruiting at The Xela Group. She is responsible for ensuring The Xela Group has the best-in-class talent to solve clients’ evolving needs.
With more than 20 years of recruiting experience, Anna has a proven record of success directing recruiting strategies for large organizations. Prior to joining the The Xela Group, Anna most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing for national IT staffing company, where she established and launched the Mid-Atlantic branch. She was responsible for all aspects of recruiting and sales. She led company-wide staffing efforts, as well as, initiatives to capture and retain top quality consultants.
Anna has held senior recruiting leadership roles for several IT staffing and consulting firms, where she was consistently a top performer. Anna has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the recruiting life cycle.
Anna attended California State University of Los Angeles, where she pursued her degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Upon completing her degree, Anna moved to the Washington, DC area where she started her seasoned career in recruiting.
Director of Technology and Operations
Tom Messick is the Director of Technology and Operations at The Xela Group. Tom has spent the last 22 years as an Information Technology consultant and leader, providing strategic solutions to organizations of all sizes, across multiple industries, including telecommunications, education, energy, finance, healthcare, and others.
Prior to joining The Xela Group, Tom held a number of leadership roles with Professional Services organizations, most recently with a large global resourcing firm, where he was instrumental in the sales and delivery of projects and managed services totaling $100 million.
Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Maryland and currently lives in Potomac, MD.
